3. CMI Excellence in Education Award

This unique competition is designed to showcase CMAA chapters that contribute to the private club profession through creative, informative, relevant and innovative education programming.

The main focus of CMI in developing this award was the promotion of outstanding annual education planning processes and results that would then lead to an educationally fulfilling year of chapter education. CMI recognized the need to encourage and assist some chapters with their yearly education calendars and to honor those individuals who take great strides to promote professional development within their chapters.

Each fall, Chapter Education Chairmen are sent an entry form and guidelines indicating how to participate in this award process. CMAA strongly encourages chapters to submit an entry from their chapters based on the entire year's chapter education program. Each chapter – small, medium and large – has the opportunity to showcase its talent and promote professional advancement.

The winning chapter is recognized and presented with a handsome trophy during the Annual World Conference on Club Management, receives an education grant, is listed in that year's Yearbook and is featured in CMAA's OUTLOOK and Chapter Digest publications.
