In order to responsibly grow our Association, CMAA has launched a national recruitment campaign that will run through December 31, 2011. Chapters and members who actively participate in this campaign will be rewarded for their efforts. The phases of the campaign are listed below:
Phase 1- National Reached Out- In August, CMAA National sent out letters to approximately 2,000 ‘traditional’ prospective member clubs that do not currently have a CMAA member. Enclosed with the letter was the new CMAA brochure created specifically for this campaign, a membership application as well as chapter contact information.
Phase 2- Chapters Follow Up- In September 2010, CMAA chapter leaders received the list of clubs that were mailed the letter referenced in Phase I to follow-up with prospective members. In addition, a short video promoting membership in CMAA was created; it is recommended viewing for both prospective members and club boards, so please help us get it circulating. Phase 3- Incentives Offered
• Member Incentive- CMAA members who actively participate in the recruitment drive will be rewarded. For five members recruited, a $500 CMAA credit will be offered to the member to use for any CMAA product(s); for 10 members recruited, a $1,000 CMAA credit will be issued. Additionally, the member will have the option to transfer his/her credit to another CMAA member. This credit is good for one year. Please note that the way that this is tracked is through the “Sponsor” portion of the application, so make sure that your name is provided by the applicant as his/her sponsor.
• Club Incentive- Any current CMAA-member club that increases its membership by one person, will be provided a CMAA Webinar package (five complimentary, club’s choice), which can be used for staff training purposes. The Webinar package is good for one year. (Limit one per club.)
• Chapter Incentive- Currently, CMAA offers the following Club Foundation Grant incentives annually to the winning chapters of the New Member Recruitment Contest (small, medium and large chapter categories):
- First Place- $1,000
- Second Place- $750
- Third Place- $500
In 2011, the first place prize will be doubled to $2,000 for the winning chapter in each size category.
We need everyone’s help in order to make this campaign a success! For instant prospective member leads, check in with your chapter officers to see if there are any clubs on the aforementioned list you can reach out to personally.
