Premier Club Services

Since 1993, Premier Club Services® (PCS) has provided a unique subscription that offers club-specific resources to assist clubs in maintaining and improving their day-to-day operations – saving them both time and money. A PCS subscription is comprised of a collection of innovative, club-specific resources in the areas of marketing, human resources, legal and legislative concerns. In 2006, the subscription package was enhanced to include more than 30 products and services that benefit every department and every area of club operations.

In 2006, 32 percent of all CMAA member-managed clubs worldwide subscribed to PCS. The products and services offered are not only designed to apply to every area of club operations, but also to every type of club. Subscribers represent country, city, athletic, yacht and many other club types. Thanks to a grant from The Club Foundation, all of the CMAA student chapters utilize the PCS products during their educational programs.

In 2006, Premier Club Services® continued its trend of producing useful, timely products and services for its subscribers. The 2005-2006 Signature Item, Club Operations and Performance Review, was delivered to PCS subscribers in May 2006. This resource is a comprehensive collection of operational standards, club checklists, performance assessment tools and best practices of clubs. It is filled with up-to-date, industry-specific information and templates (contributed by CMAA members), and provides club managers with the tools they need to objectively assess the performance of every key area of the club operation.

The Club Operations and Performance Review is user friendly with a separate chapter devoted to each major area of a club’s operation.  For quick and easy reference, a comprehensive index is included. All documents are also provided on a CD so that managers can easily adapt the operational tools to reflect their club’s unique layout and needs.

In addition to the new club operational review resource, Premier Club Services® continues to offer subscribers access to a staple of popular items including the Directors Guide to Understanding Club Governance, Board Resource Manual, Club Operations Manual, Human Resource Audit for Private Clubs, Legal Newsletter, How To Hire Reference Series, At Your Service newsletter, Your Club and the Law, customized CMAA and club surveys, the PCS Index and the Guide to Membership Marketing.

PCS Online, a Web site dedicated to providing club managers and their employees with instant access to PCS products, continues to be an invaluable resource for our subscribers in 2006. Through www.premierclubservices.org, the PCS subscription has become an even more impressive club operational tool. The Web site comprises more than 3,000 pages of information ranging from overall operational procedures to legal information pertaining to clubs. In addition to the more than 20 products available online, the Web site continues to be updated with monthly newsletters and new products, giving desktop access to all subscribing club managers and their staffs.

Through the release of our new resources, the subscription package now consists of more than 30 products and services valued at over $5,000. The 2006 subscription price remained at $500, an amount that has not changed since the inception of PCS in 1993.

The Premier Club Services® Department is committed to continuing to provide innovative programs, products and services for the successful operation of clubs for many years to come. And, as always, all of the resources that comprise the Premier Club Services® subscription package are available to non-subscribers on an á la carte basis through Bookmart.
