To monitor and review services and trends in the development and placement of management personnel in the club industry; to create avenues that expose Career Services benefits and services to club officials and other industry decision makers. The committee will advise and make recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding Career Services and determine what additional services may be appropriate and beneficial to the career growth and development of the Association’s members.

Mission: To recommend policies and procedures to the Board of Directors that promote the development and maintenance of a program of certification, which will provide recognition of various levels of professional club management achievement. Qualifications will be in accordance with the certification program’s rules and regulations in the CMAA Yearbook. The committee will work to provide for: qualifications and criteria for certification, maintaining certification, Honor Society and the Master Club Manager program; oversight of the record-keeping function and setting criteria to determine the level of credit awarded education programs and activities; appeals/interpretation of policies governing the certification system; the preparation, conduct and oversight of a suitable testing method to evaluate candidates for certification; and effective communication and promotion of the benefits of the program to the CMAA membership and club industry.

To work with chapters to develop, promote and execute programs designed to enhance and strengthen greater member involvement in the Association at local, national and international levels.
