J. Rickey, The Brookside Country Club of Allentown
By following tradition, the cycle of membership begins and ends wtih a new member. Each part of the cycle is integral to the new member's smooth transition into the Club. This idea has enhanced the Club's operation by having each employee as well as current members work together to bring in new members and make them feel truly welcome and comfortable in the Club atmosphere. |
Kirk
O. Reese, Chevy Chase Club
The year prior to becoming a member at the Chevy Chase Club, candidates are given an opportunity to use the Club for two months as a "Summer Member." The Summer Member Handbook was developed to help Summer Members feel welcome and comfortable while at the same time plugging them into Club operations. This idea has made a significant impact socially and financially at the Club. Summer Members use the Handbook as their main resource during the summer. The Handbook guides Summer Members in everything from eating in th Club dining facilities to enrolling children in Summer Camp, from signing up for a locker to bringing a guest to play golf. |
