Members who
have a hole-in-one receive a flag. The flag
is embroidered with their name, the date,
yardage, the hole they aced, and club used.
It is mailed to the member along with a gift
certificate to Ollie’s, our newest
dining venue. This recognition of a special
accomplishment has been tremendously appreciated
by the members. It also introduces the members
to our new restaurant and increases participation
in the Club.

To encourage
our resident members to experience the guestrooms,
we developed the Resident Member Stay Free
program. Each year, we offer the resident
members one free night in a guestroom. This
program has enhanced the perceived value
of the Club’s membership and familiarized
our members with the quality of the guestrooms
we offer.

We give our
new members leather duffle bags filled with
coupons at our New Member Orientation Program
to introduce them to different areas of the
Club. We also include Club tumblers, a golf
towel, and tennis balls. This valuable gift
helps increase attendance at the programs
and promotes the various areas of the Club.

The Fort
Worth Club established a “Club within
the Club” entitled “Club 102,” that
was created specifically for residents of
the Downtown Fort Worth zip code 76102. Club
102 offers its members the opportunity to
mingle with neighbors in a private club setting.

With a two
to three year waiting list for membership,
the Granite Club created a series of initiatives
to keep future members aware of what is happening
at the Club, and to keep their interest in
hopes of discouraging them from leaving the
waiting list to join another Club. One of
these initiatives was to invite those on
the waiting list to attend the Annual Family
Festival of Lights in November 2007, to celebrate
the official start of the holiday season
at the Granite Club. The evening was complimentary. |

CCV welcomes
new babies by sending out “stork packages.” The
packages include information and discount
coupons for the babysitting center, Club-sponsored
infant/child CPR classes, group fitness classes,
and Club dining. Our members appreciate the
recognition of the new addition to their
family and the information about our programs.

The Fort
Worth Club Junior Mentor Dinner Series provides
a forum for meaningful interactions between
junior and chairman level members in an educational
format conducive for networking, mentoring,
and relationship building. Each dinner features
a lecture from a chairman level member who
is a business leader in the community. Junior
members are seated with other chairman level
members, and are able to discuss the speaker’s
topic in a unique setting. There is an application
process to participate in the Junior Mentor
Dinner Series, and selection is driven by
a committee of junior members. |

Our members
are seasonal and therefore, unfamiliar with
local points of interest. Roads less traveled
give them a “behind the scenes” view
of local and regional life and history.
