USC CMAA
Facebook Group was created because a more
popular form of communication was necessary
(besides the listserv). Facebook has been
a very successful outlet for communication
by delivering up-to-date information. It
is now USC CMAA’s main form of communication.

K-State Online
is a great way for student members to check
for up-to-date information. A member can
check future meeting dates on our calendar,
catch-up on previous meeting minutes, and
see how their points are stacking up through
the semester. Students can post ideas and
topics for future meetings on a convenient
feature called a message board. This feature
also allows for brainstorming with the entire
chapter able to view other student’s
ideas.

The Cornell
Chapter of CMAA hosted its first ever fundraising
golf outing in October of 2007. In order
to record the many types of information we
were collecting and to continually be able
to view an up-to-date profit and loss statement,
we created an Excel computer model. |

We used Angel, which is Penn States course
management system. It can be accessed from
anywhere via the internet and allows committees
and members to post announcements and communicate
more freely. In April we will also launch
an online auction as part of Fund Raising
actions.
