The K-State
CMAA member handbook was adopted to help
orient new members, not only to K-State’s
Student Chapter, but the National Chapter
as well. The handbook contains information
about the student chapter policies, a description
of CMAA and the benefits of membership, the
chapter point system, bylaws past presidents
of the K-State Chapter (including where they
are now), ect. The handbook is given to all
perspective members- not just those who have
paid their dues. This has helped with member
recruitment, retention, and encourages members
to get involved in the group sooner, since
they know much more about the chapter and
its policies.

Our main
idea for 2008 is to implement new membership
programs through better communication, club
tours, and community outreach. |

In order
to recruit new members to our student chapter
we had speakers composed of not only our
advisors, but students speak about CMAA.
They talked about CMAA at weekly meetings
consisting of students enrolled in the petrocelli
school. |

Our membership
programs, such as recruitment, meetings,
activities, and socials, are what keeps our
chapter strong. We make sure to represent
our club as a bonded group of individuals. |

In order
to attract and attain members, the CMAA Cornell
Chapter supplies many fun, yet educational
and philanthropical activities which our
members can attend. Ideas such as golf charity
events, cleaning the adopted highway, and
dinners have been enjoyable and productive. |

Similar
to our other entries, this poster has a
menu theme to it. This year, our chapter
focused on a stronger recruitment plan,
which was successful because we welcomed
an increasable number of new members. |
