Anita B. Boyle, Houston Hills CC

The Houston Hills Country Club designed a manual containing the golf course layout to track every detail of bunker maintenance. This not only identifies specific maintenance problems and bunker inconsistencies, but will also serve as a historical work-in-progress for any future maintenance work.

Gregory Webb, The Kansas City CC

Golf course bridges had become a very high maintenance and a safety issue due to wood deterioration and age. New bridges are designed for better structural support and a wider deck to accommodate larger pieces of equipment, which makes them easier to cross. The new bridges cost about twice what the previous wooden bridges cost to construct but will last five times longer, saving the club valuable capital funds.
