The Old Ranch Country Club (ORCC) recently hosted the OC59 Leadership Team in its first ever Charity Fundraising Golf Tournament and Auction, and it was a fantastic success! The event was held on February 26th, 2007 in beautiful Seal Beach, CA. In under 45 days, the Leadership Team with the support of Old Ranch hosted a day of tournament and auctioning which began with gourmet breakfast overlooking the beautiful course of ORCC and culminating with a chocolate fondue fountain, loads of laughter and celebration and a $17,000 check presented to the Orange Coast Interfaith Shelter… the focus the Leadership Team’s efforts.

The Orange Coast Interfaith Shelter, located in Newport Beach, provides emergency shelter and transitional housing, and support for homeless families striving to participate successfully in society. The money raised from the Charity Golf Tournament and Auction will undoubtedly benefit these families and children in providing them with the greatest gift of all.…the ability to dream and believe those dreams can be a reality. One mother receiving assistance spoke of her excitement to be starting her life with her children after three months of housing and support from the shelter. After securing a job with a retail store and impressing them with her work ethics, they hired her as store manager. By the end of the week she was looking forward to moving into her own apartment… independent and financially able was a dream that appeared out of reach for her only months prior as she traveled homeless with her children on the

streets. Her story and others is what inspires hope… and thanks to the support of Old Ranch Country Club and the perseverance of the OC59 Leadership Team… the dreams of people whose hopes have been buried underneath the turmoil and distress of homelessness can once again come alive.

For years Old Ranch Country Club has been a dedicated sponsor of charitable fundraisers such as this one. Their dedication and support is commendable and a fine example of how we as individuals, entrepreneurs and corporations can come together to make a profound difference in our communities.

Many thanks to Crystal Thomas, MCM, for sharing these images.
