Manager in Development Program

Overview

This Manager in Development Program (AMID) began as an inspiration of William A. Schulz, MCM, General Manager, Houston Country Club, as he developed the concept for his successful MCM monograph. Today, it is available as a hands-on training manual, which explores core competency areas for the assistant manager or department manager in the club. AMID is a modular program designed to take approximately two years, while working under the professional guidance of a sponsoring manager/mentor.

In-depth educational information and experiential learning opportunities are provided in ten content areas:

  • Leadership
  • Food Service Operations
  • Beverage Operations
  • Facilities and Risk Management
  • Recreation and Sport Management
  • Career Planning
