Essential Pre-Employment Selection Tools
Many managers make poor decisions simply because they are not using critical hiring tools readily at their disposal. Turnover can be costly for your club and, more times than not, has a negative effect on employee moral. Background Checks, Personality Profiling and Mental Aptitude Testing are just a few additional evaluation tools that can help assure you are making the best hiring decision - before you expose new employees to your members. This workshop will provide you with some effective tools to assure you are hiring great employees…and doing it with confidence!

Attracting & Retaining Outstanding Hourly Employees
In today’s competitive hiring environment finding great employees continues to be a challenge.  In addition, retaining your employees and keeping them happy and motivated will make your Club far more successful – both financially and operationally.  This workshop will provide you many ideas and tools to begin attracting new employees and keeping the great ones that you have on staff.

Effective Performance Based Bonus Plans
There are many ways to create a bonus plan for your team.  Developing and maintaining an effective performance-based bonus plan will provide your staff with greater motivation and the tools to achieve their maximum potential and will enable you and your Club to achieve improved results.  Structuring a plan for key department heads is not an easy task.  Learn some of the successful bonus plans that some of the most progressive hospitality companies have created and how you can apply these plans at your Club.  When executed properly, the impact on bonus plans can be significant!

Performance Appraisals that Really Work
How many times have you received a poorly conducted Performance Evaluation, or worse yet…never received a performance evaluation at all?  The benefits of conducting a comprehensive and thorough evaluation will set the tone for an employee’s future performance and allow you to monitor their progress. How much more productive would your employees be if you set measurable goals during this evaluation and then tied these goals directly to their bonus or incentive plans?  This workshop will provide the Club Professional with a formula to insure that all of the performance appraisals conducted by your staff will be focused, professional and consistent.

Maximizing Employee Performance through Praise & Discipline
Topics explored during this workshop will overview negative vs. positive discipline and what common mistakes you should avoid in disciplining and praising.  The workshop will also review how you can transform or shift your style of disciplining to accommodate different situations. Finally, we will touch on the “no surprise” termination. Club Managers will leave armed with a complete understanding of how to more effectively administrator discipline.
