Your decision to become a member of the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) is only the beginning of your professional development journey.
Our goal is to assist you in integrating CMAA’s benefits, services and resources into your professional life. It is important that your club board makes a commitment to your continued professional development, as it is an investment in your club’s overall operations.
For more than 80 years, CMAA has remained a leader in the hospitality industry, providing continuing education programs; developing methods to exchange information; advancing technology in the club industry; providing networking opportunities with other club managers and allied associations; and ensuring our membership’s knowledge of and access to the latest products and services in the industry.
In addition to the primary services provided to all Association members, CMAA offers programs to help you direct your education, manage your resources, enhance your electronic communication capabilities and build peer relationships.
To be eligible for membership, one must be employed in a management position at a club. Your request for membership must first be made through the local chapter. If you are unsure of what chapter your club falls in, please e-mail and give the name and address of your club. You will then be sent the name and contact person for your local chapter.
Once you have become a member of that chapter, your application is submitted simultaneously to the National Association. Membership processing will be delayed if the application is sent directly to the National Headquarters. In conjunction with our bylaws, all members must first belong to the local chapter and then to the National Association.
"My personal achievements and my value to my employer are direct results of my involvement with CMAA throughout my career. The level of contacts, education and professional resources available for the club manager through CMAA are, quite simply, not obtainable through any other source."
