Damon J. DiOrio, CCM (Certified Club
Manager), CCE (Certified Chief Executive), Chief Executive Officer of
Charlotte Country Club in Charlotte, NC, was elected Vice President
of the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) at its 86th World
Conference and Club Business Expo, held in San Diego, CA.
has been with Charlotte Country
Club since 1990 and became CEO in 2003. He joined CMAA in 1994. He has served on several
national committees including the Chapter/Member Services Committee, the
At-Conference Chapter of the Year Committee, the Brand Identity Task
Force and the Long Range Planning Committee, among others. He is a
current member of the CMAA International Wine Society. DiOrio first
joined the Board of Directors in 2007.
the chapter level, DiOrio has served on the Carolinas Club Foundation
Board of Directors as well as Secretary/Treasurer, Vice President and
President for the Carolinas Chapter. He also served as the Carolinas
Chapter Education Chairman, Region I Chairman and Wine Society Chairman.
remains an active member of other charitable endeavors, working with
the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the Leukemia Society First
Connection, the Western NC Board of Trustees, the USGA South East Green
Section Committee and the Chaine des Rotisseurs.
CMAA Vice President, DiOrio will work with members and allied
associations to develop and promote high standards of professionalism,
leadership and education in club management.
