Bylaw Statement
About Position:
The Board of Managers shall
consist of twelve (12) voting members, including the
current nine (9) officers enumerated in Article IV
of these bylaws.
Tenure of Office:
Each
year, any open Board positions will be filled for four-year
terms (or such terms as determined by the Board of Managers
to ensure continuity from year to year) at the Annual
Business Meeting of the Wine Society. Any member of the
Board may be elected to one additional four-year term.
Position Summary:
Serves
IWS Board of Managers in various duties as assigned by
the IWS Host from time to time.
Responsible
for the Wine Society's World Conference membership
reception.
Other duties as assigned by the IWS Host from time to time.
Programming Responsibilities:
Plans, markets and executes the new member reception at the CMAA World Conference in conjunction with National Staff.
Supports the activities and programming of the IWS to all CMAA managers.
Supports the marketing and production of the IWS newsletter, Wine Society News.
Works with assigned IWS Chapter Representatives to enhance local IWS programming.
Fulfills obligations of the IWS during the Annual Conference.
Completes assignments as given by the IWS Host in a timely and fiscally appropriate manner.
Serves as directed by the Host on various committees or subcommittees as may be needed from time to time.
Supports the mission of the IWS to the wine industry in general.
