Description: The 7th Annual Great Wine Escape Weekend will be held November 7 - 9 at locations throughout Monterey County. The Great Wine Escape Weekend is the hospitality event of the year for Monterey County featuring more than 35 wineries, narrated-bus or self-guided tours. Other events throughout the weekend include a silent auction on Saturday afternoon, Winemaker dinners by world-renowned chefs on Friday and Saturday evenings and the Great Wine Escape Finale with more than 35 Monterey County wineries pouring their world-class wines. The Great Wine Escape Weekend brings together the wineries, restaurants and hotels of Monterey County for a weekend filled with great food, great events and, of course, great wine!

Description: This four-day wine festival features several different events:

Flights: A Regional Showcase of CA Zinfandels -- This event will have five panels of six wines/winemakers, each featuring the 2001 vintage.

Good Eats & Zin -- The event features 35 Bay area restaurants teamed with 35 zinfandel wineries in a walk-around tasting.

Evening with the Winemakers: Blue Jeans to Black Tie -- The event combines a zinfandel tasting, silent auction, multi-course dinner and live auction.

Annual Tasting -- Approximately 300 zinfandel wineries from seven California growing regions will play host to members and the public, pouring 2002-vintage barrel samples and new releases; tasters receive their own loaf of bread as they enter.
