DOL Proposes New Overtime Rule, Threshold Increases to $35,308

As expected, the Department of Labor (DOL) issued a new proposed overtime rule on Thursday, March 7. The proposed rule proposes a more reasonable increase to the salary threshold while mirroring other portions of the disputed 2016 final rule.

FY2019 Spending Package Impacts H-2B Visa Availability

What You Need to Know About the Shutdown(1)

H-2B Visa Cap Met for First Half of FY2019

On December 11, US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that the H-2B visa cap for the first half of the 2018 fiscal year had been reached. The final receipt date was Thursday, December 6. This is approximately three weeks earlier than the cap was hit in FY2018.
