Assistant Food & Beverage Manager

Brief Job Description

Assist Food & Beverage Manager in managing, organizing, and marketing the total Food & Beverage operation. 

  • Deliver Relational Service to Members/Guests.
  • Oversee dining room and banquet room operations; interact with members, guests and vendors. 
  • Assist with day-to-day operations, member activities, menu rollouts, and floor plans for the Food & Beverage department.
  • Attends to the needs of the membership to assure a high standard of member satisfaction; review and evaluate on a consistent basis.
  • Maintains a presence on the floor to visually monitor and ensure food quality and service standards are met.
  • Manages the restaurant appearance, maintenance, and atmosphere.
  • Reviews reservations and upcoming events to plan appropriate staffing levels and scheduling.
  • Maintains communication with service staff.
  • Perform administrative duties such as training, stand up and communications. 
  • Promotes the cross-selling of other F&B outlets at the club.
  • Knowledge of opening/closing procedures and other general duties associated with the operations of a restaurant.
  • Assist with hiring, training and developing service staff.
  • Continuously evaluate personnel performance and encourage improvement.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of F&B experience; fine dining/country club preferred.
  • Experience with JONAS Operating System is desirable.
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated team-building and leadership experience.
  • Strong technical and organizational skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-up.
  • Able to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Display a sense of urgency and self motivation to ensure The Cliffs’ Lifestyle is delivered to each member and guest.
