The Ledges is currently seeking a dynamic individual to lead our Food and Beverage team. The Director of Food and Beverage is responsible for overseeing the entire F&B front of house program. The successful candidate is expected to bring creativity and excitement to our offerings and shall further the club’s reputation for excellence of food and beverage services by overseeing all aspects of the operation. This person shall directly supervise the Dining Room Managers, Director of Catering and Events, Pool Manager, and all FOH service staff.
Key Responsibilities and Leadership Style Attributes:
- Responsible for developing and executing plans to continually improve member and employee satisfaction and to maximize the financial performance
- Lead and motivate the Food and Beverage team to provide the highest standard of personalized and engaged service to members, and ensure that the Club is responding to members' requests, comments and suggestions in a timely manner
- Coordinate closely with the Culinary team on food promotions and menu planning and ensure all information is submitted to marketing on time
- Be an active and dynamic recruiter of team members and someone enthusiastic about building a team and lead them to significant, positive membership interactions and outcomes.
- Have a passion and aptitude for teaching and training. Develop and enhance training programs for all food service personnel, working, as necessary, with the managers directly responsible for those operations.
- Ensure effective and efficient staffing and scheduling for all facilities and functions while balancing financial objectives with member satisfaction goals.
- Take personal ownership of his or her area of responsibility, with special attention to the overall appearance of the operation, and understand the need to be consistently “member ready” in both appearance and service.
- Approve, code and submit invoices for purchases to Accounting in a timely manner
- Conduct physical Wine, Beer and Liquor Inventories on the last day of each month. Post counts accurately on the Inventory spreadsheets and submit Inventories to Accounting no later than the fifth of the following month
- Perform other duties as assigned.
