Organized in 1908, The Country Club of Virginia has always been one of the largest and finest private clubs in America. In season, CCV employs a staff of more than 600.

As a not-for-profit club with a $30 million operating budget, CCV has a very strong financial position, with meaningful capital reserved for regular reinvestment in and expansion of its facilities. The Club’s conservative fiscal policies and strong membership base allow for achievable financial expectations and provide operating budgets consistent with its high standards.

Brief Job Description

The Grill

The Grill is a casual, family restaurant serving lunch and dinner seven days a week. The Grill seats 175, with an additional 120 seats during the summer/fall season on the outdoor terrace. Annual F&B revenue is $1,300,000.

The Position

The Grill Manager has principal responsibility for all day-to-day front-of-house operations in the restaurant. The position supervises an Assistant Manager, two supervisors, and a staff of 50-70, and works in partnership with the culinary management team. The Grill Manager reports to the Club’s Food & Beverage Director.

This position is well-suited for an aspiring club manager.

Candidate Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities. A team attitude, passion, and solid business acumen are critical, along with attention to detail, organizational proficiency, and excellent communication skills. Wine and beverage knowledge is preferred.

Full-service restaurant management experience required, with full responsibility for an operation and a staff of 20+.

Country club experience a plus.

Educational Requirements

Hospitality degree preferred but not required.
