Position Summary
Responsible for all operations of Food & Beverage ensuring the highest standards possible and to exceed the memberships’ expectations. Responsible for the supervision of all Food & Beverage Front of the House employees.
Accountabilities
- Ensure that Clubhouse Manager and CEO always has all information required to efficiently run the operation and is always informed to address the members professionally and with the correct information.
- Ensure member satisfaction with facilities and services.
- Provide recognition and personal attention to members to show that Management cares about their well-being.
- Train professional, friendly, service oriented staff to provide total customer satisfaction for all members and guests.
- Develop, implement and maintain FOH policies and procedures that reduce liability to the Club.
- Be fiscally responsible to the membership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Hire, train and supervise all Food & Beverage staff ensuring the highest standard of service and food quality.
- Oversee all dining areas to ensure smooth operations, quality products, and exemplary service.
- Develop and maintain ongoing relationship and dialogue with members through name recognition, personal communication and follow through.
- Establish and maintain a positive and effective working relationship with Executive Chef.
- Cooperates with the Clubhouse Manager, Catering Manager and Executive Chef in the planning and supervision of special events, parties, and catered activities.
- Ensure that all bars are stocked, operating efficiently, liquor and supply inventory is maintained to the standards of the Club.
- Maintain a visible presence in the dining areas to ensure service excellence and member satisfaction. Render personalized service to members.
- Address and resolve member complaints and suggestions.
- Ensure all dining rooms and bars are always kept clean and liaise with maintenance or housekeeping on issues that need attention.
- Monitor payroll and overtime. Adjust staffing accordingly.
- Monitor and conduct staff performance appraisals as per Club policy.
- Maintain and update POS information and oversee that training in all appropriate software areas is performed.
- Oversee a healthy and motivated work environment among supervisory staff.
- Communicate with members, co-workers, management, staff, the general public, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
- Respond promptly when returning telephone calls, emails, and text messages.
- Act, dress, and behave in a professional manner to reflect a positive image of the Club.
Educational Requirements
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management or applicable discipline plus a minimum of 5 years experience as a Food & Beverage Director in a high volume facility or any equivalent combination of related training and experience.
Previous club experience is preferred.
