Golf Facilities

Established in 1992, Atlantic is a traditional, member-owned golf club located in the exclusive "Hamptons" community on the East End of Long Island neighboring such greats as Shinnecock, National Golf Links and Maidstone Club. Awarded “Best New Private Course” by Golf Digest and “Club of the Year for 2010” by the Metropolitan Golf Writers Association, Atlantic has demonstrated a commitment to excellence that extends to every facet of the operation from the course to the membership and staff, many of whom have been with the club since its inception. Proud host of the Metropolitan Open, U.S. Senior Amateur, and the U.S. Mid-Amateur , the Rees Jones designed course had been rated among the top 10 in the state and the top 100 in the country.

A small club with a membership of 180 regular members, the focus is on exceptional service for our members and guests. The Clubhouse offers a casual dining atmosphere indoors or on the patio, a Tap Room Lounge and a full service locker room. A local magazine rated Atlantic’s lunch “the best in the Hamptons”.

Brief Job Description

Lead Server (2+ Years Club Experience)

We are seeking an experienced hospitality professional to work as our Lead Server . This person will work with our dynamic team to help set and maintain the standards set by the Dining Room Captain. The focus is on exceptional breakfast and lunch service to our members and guests. Some evening shifts required. This is a full-time, seasonal job from late April through the end of October. Flexible hours during Spring and Fall. Shifts begin between 6 and 9 a.m. and food service typically ends around 4 p.m., bar closes at dusk. Typical work week is 30-40 hours with overtime from June – August.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Working a regular schedule: Opening the Dining Room/Bar four days/week; closing the Dining Room/Bar one day/week; with flexibility to pick up additional shifts.
  • Take accurate orders and partner with team members to serve food and beverages in a way that meets or exceeds the Members’ and Guests' expectations
  • Work with Dining Room Captain to set standards, train staff and ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • In the absence of the Dining Room Captain, oversee the staff and ensure that club standards are met in all aspects of food and beverage service.

Candidate Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have:

  • At least 2 years of Fine Dining or Club experience
  • Experience with employee development and training
  • Follow direction and work well as part of a team and be able to work independently to handle slower shifts alone.
  • A passion for hospitality service

Other Benefits

Salary range: $22 - $25 / hour

Salary and Benefits: Housing included for a nominal fee, meals during the shift, uniforms provided, golf privileges, end of season bonus. Health, dental, 401k available after 90 days.
