F&B Operations Manager
Brief Job Description
The F&B Operations Manager is responsible for assisting in all aspects of food and beverage service operations, as a member of the food and beverage management team. This position will share management responsibilities of the food and beverage outlets, while providing an emphasis on the banquet and catering operation. This position reports to Clubhouse Manager and works alongside a team of assistant F&B Managers. He or she will have a positive attitude, sense of urgency, ability to train, motivate and lead others, and act with integrity. This position requires the ability to organize and prioritize, be personable, responsible and willing to work in a team environment with an emphasis on leadership. This posistion has an emphasized focus in banquets.
This position requires working nights, weekends and holidays.
Candidate Qualifications
This position requires one to have an acute knowledge of service techniques. Must be self-motivated and self-managing, efficient in time management and decision-making. They must be creative, outgoing and have excellent communication skills both verbally and written. The successful candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to service. The successful candidate should have strong communication skills; both creative and critical writing and the ability to speak effectively before groups of members, guests, and employees of the club. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access, as well as Point of Sale Systems. Human Resource skills required include scheduling and training,
Educational Requirements
Education, Certification/License and Experience:
- College Degree involving Hospitality is Preferred but not required
- Country Club experience is plus
Working Conditions/Environment:
- This position works between 50-60 hours per week on average, but may increase at times to accommodate business fluctuations.
- Position requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk. Lifting and carrying items up to 10 pounds is necessary and lifting up to 25 pounds is required occasionall
