Special Club Features

Established in 1908, Houston Country Club is a private, family-oriented, high-volume country club dedicated
to providing exceptional service and hospitality for our 1,300 member families and their guests. Recognized
as a highly rated Platinum Club of America, HCC has recently commenced an overall renovation and
expansion plan that upon completion in the fall of 2021 will only enhance the stellar reputation we currently
enjoy. Houston Country Club is rich with history as well as tradition and provides the ideal atmosphere for
club professionals seeking career development and quality experience in a full service setting.

Dining facilities include three distinct dining rooms, seasonal poolside restaurant, unique ballroom seating
400; and several elegantly appointed private rooms. The Club has a high-volume event operation and can
accommodate up to 1,100 guests. Athletic facilities include an 18-hole Robert Trent Jones designed golf
course with pro shop and complete practice facilities, 15 tennis courts with pro shop, large swimming
complex and complete fitness center.

Club is open 6 days per week, 12 months per year.

Job Title

Assistant Manager, Banquets and Special Events

Brief Job Description

The Assistant Manager, Banquets and Special Events is a key position in the Club’s management team who will actively manage banquet events for members and select guests including wedding receptions, dinners, business receptions, holiday events, outdoor celebrations as well as many other Club sponsored special events. As part of a select team, you will work closely with the Catering Department, Executive Chef, Clubhouse Manager, General Manager and Assistant Managers.

Responsibilities:
• Assist members in the special event planning process
• Address member inquiries
• Work with the management team in the development of special events
• Become familiar with Houston Country policies and procedures
• Assist in the coordination of the booking process through Delphi software system
• Assist in the proper management and running of special events
• Collaborate with the management team in enhancing the Houston Country Club experience
• Implement policies and operating standards, develop ongoing training and execute day to day operations

Candidate Qualifications

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree, Hospitality Management preferred. Suitable industry experience may be a substitute.
• 3-5 years’ management experience in Clubs, resort or fine dining management
• Pro-active and detail oriented
• Dependable and passionate
• Clear and effective communication abilities
• Great team member
