Mira Vista Country Club is a full-service, member-owned, equity country club open to Members living inside and outside of the community.  For 32 years, Mira Vista has brought families and friends together for golf, tennis, swimming and social gatherings in our gated community in Fort Worth. It is a place where Members and staff alike treat newcomers, and each other, like friends. Members participate in frequent social events, enjoy swimming, fitness & tennis facilities and play golf where many golf tour pros choose to play, on a nationally recognized course and practice facility. Located in the heart of North Texas, Mira Vista community offers first-class living and amenities in Fort Worth’s only 24 hour gated community of its kind. The par 71 course takes full advantage of the natural beauty provided by this 700-acre development, as it meanders through the scenic vistas.  The club was selected the “Best of the Private Clubs” for mid-priced category in the DFW area by Avid Golfer in 2017. 

The clubhouse measures 44,000 square feet and features family and adult dining which has been recently renovated.  The various dining outlets include the Sunset Grill which is an elegant atmosphere for both romantic dinners and family nights that seats 85 guests.  The Horizon Lounge and Patio provides a more causal environment overlooking the 18th hole and a gorgeous panorama of the western sky.   The Texas sunsets are beyond belief when viewed from the Horizon Lounge and Patio which seats 130 guests.  The Pointe is even more causal which provides a causal menu and drinks for golfers, tennis players, swimmers and others looking for a quick meal.   The private event venues include the Grand Vista and Sunset Ballrooms which are 16,000 square-feet and designed to host luncheons and dinners of 50 guests to weddings up to 300 guests.  The ballroom has direct access to a private patio overlooking the 18th hole and western sky.  The Board room seats up to 14 guests, the Governor’s room host meetings up to 60 guests and the Ladies Library host smaller events up to 40 guests.

Club is open 6 days per week, 12 months per year.

Clubhouse Manager

Brief Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager, the Clubhouse Manager has responsibility and oversees food and beverage staff, locker rooms, housekeeping and pool operations.  He/She leads the management team which includes: Event Coordinator/Member Relations Director, Executive Chef, Assistant F&B Managers, Locker Room Manager, Pool Manager and Housekeeping staff.  The Clubhouse Manager will be expected to work cooperatively with all Department Heads.  This highly visible role must be engaging with the membership and possess a strong eye for detail to ensure the highest standards of service, quality products and housekeeping are met along with financial accountability.

The major areas of focus for this role are:

  • Member Services – Delivering exceptional service to the membership, maintaining efficient daily club operations and provide quality leadership to supporting staff.
  • Food and Beverage – Serve as the face of the operation and demonstrate a passion for food and beverage with menu building and design responsibilities.
  • Financial Management – Provide input regarding budgets, fiscal controls and operational guidelines while working with the General Manager on annual operating budgets along with long-range facilities planning.  In addition, develop and implement processes and procedures to increase operating efficiencies, internal controls and improve costs controls while maintaining excellent service and quality products. 
  • Employee Relations – Provide support with recruiting, training, employee development along with matters of compensation, disciplinary and other significant personnel actions.   

Candidate Qualifications

Competencies and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in private club setting or other high-end hospitality settings with emphasis on excellent dining and service experience. 
  • Excellent leadership skills with success and desire in developing employees. 
  • Strong attention to detail in the overall management of the operation, but especially food and beverage service, housekeeping and maintenance. 
  • Solid operational and financial skills with experience in budget development and execution.
  • Technical experience in purchasing/price methods, POS updates, hospitality-related software, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Extensive wine knowledge with the ability to train staff and manage wine inventory.
  • Employee relations, selection/hiring, day to day management, training and development experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and delegate effectively with appropriate follow-through and oversight.
