Special Club Features

The Controller will oversee the Business Office and its staff and report to the current Club Treasurer and General Manager.  Essentially provides all Financial duties for the Club including, assuring timely preparation of payroll, AR and AP, cash management, financial reporting to the Finance Committee and working with department heads on assuring clean & timely inventories are turned and acceptable percentages of cost of goods is maintained.  Assure all tax and permit filings are accurate and filed on time.  Work with management on collection of outstanding debt and maintain the AR percentage in an acceptable range, through membership communication and directly working with those members paying late.  Human Resources is a key component of the skill sets required for this position with good relationship and measure is maintained with employees.

• Assure all Member calls and inquiries are returned promptly with courtesy and understanding.  When billing disputes occur, research, empathize and find correct outcome working with department managers.
• Complete onboarding with all New Members giving them a thorough understanding and orientation of our accounting system, what to expect with billing, point of sale, selection of payment terms on Initiation Fees and hand off to Member Relations staff to assure they are signed up for all  member communications and preferences.

Extensive work with Directors, Committees and Department Heads essential.

JOB SUMMARY

Serves as Controller and HR Mgr. of the Club on a permanent full time basis.  Responsible for all aspects of the G&A Department including its activities and the relationships between the Club, its Board of Directors, Members and Employees.  Maintains proper general accounting procedures as Performs other duties as directed by the Treasurer and or General Manager
