Golf Facilities

  • 18 hole course, par 72, designed by George Cobb
The beautiful well maintained club does approximately 28,000 rounds of golf a year. Our golf schedule evolves around member play, with a minimal amount of closures for non-member outings or guest play.

Tennis Facilities

  • 3 outdoor lighted Har-Tru courts
An active tennis membership consisting of both men and women.

Swimming Facilities

  • 1 Outdoor
Swimming is available mid April through the end of October. Light food service is provided at the pool from early May until the end of August.

Other Athletic Facilities

A small fitness center is available by the pool.

Dining Facilities

  • Men's Grill
Dining options for the membership and banquet events consists of a covered patio overlooking the 18th green, a golfers grill and bar, membership lounge and bar, a large banquet facility that will seat approximately 250 people and a small room located off the swimming pool that is used for small banquet and meetings.

Food and Beverage Manager

Brief Job Description

The Surf Golf and Beach Club is seeking a qualified Food and Beverage Manager with established credentials and desire to grow and take  the dining experience to a higher level.  With over 700 members (520 golf and 180 social) the opportunity will be exciting for the right individual.  Work week will consist of a 5 day work week and approximately 40-45 hours per week.  Experience is growing the banquet and member dining activity is vital, as well as excellent customer relations and personality. 

We are located in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina approximately 1/4 mile from the ocean.  Payscale will based on experience, with an excellant bonus opportunity.  Salary will be between $ 60,000 and $ 70,000, plus bonus.  Healthcare is not offered.

Candidate Qualifications

Minimum of five years experience in management of country club food and beverage operations.  Excellant communication skills and communication skills.  Computer knowledge in Jonas will be a plus, along with all microsoft programs (Excel, Word, etc.).  Strong knowledge in menu creation and pricing of products to achieve 40% or better food costs.  Knowledge of  wine purchasing, storing and serving.  Ability to train and retrain all current front of house employees and to assist Chef with purchasing and inventory of food products.  

Educational Requirements

Degree in hospitality management is a plus.
