Pepper Rotational Internship -Summary Description

The Operations Internship program offers the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge and first-hand practical experience in many aspects of club operations. This opportunity will provide insight into what a career would be like working in Golf Club Operations by providing exposure to multiple departments while developing relationships with leaders in the field. The program provides rotations in Club Management, Food & Beverage, Golf Operations, Golf Maintenance, Club Administration, Locker Room Operations, as well as Club Committee Exposure.

Candidate Qualifications

Able to work a full 14 weeks without interruption. Mid-May through August
Previous experience working in hospitality, food & beverage, golf operations or related area is a plus.
Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, programs including Word, Excel, Power Point & Publisher. Previous experience in Jonas Systems is beneficial.

Educational Requirements

Currently enrolled in College or University with a Major in Hospitality or Hospitality-related field.

The Internship is a paid position and will last a minimum of 14 weeks (Mid-May through August).
Daily Access to Club Leadership
Interns should expect to experience all aspects of club operations, front line roles through team leadership, and operations as indicated through their personal goals.
Meals while on property are included as part of the Internship package.
Intern is eligible for Pepper Employee Scholarship Award (must be full time student enrolled in US institution; proof of enrollment is required; award applies to Fall & Spring semester immediately during/following season for instance 2021 award will apply to semester beginning in August 2021 and semester beginning in January 2022). Award amounts vary based on length of employment, performance, supervisor input and need.
Intern is eligible for the Pepper Employee Holiday Fund (based annually on The Pepper Pike Club Board discretion and member funding).
