Special Club Features

The Park Country Club of Buffalo is the premier country club of the Buffalo, NY and the Western NY region. The Club offers several dining spaces with stunning views off of the Colt & Alison designed golf course. The Club hosted the 1934 PGA Championship. A major 4M renovation was completed in 2013 that exploded the Food and Beverage activity at the Club. The Club's exisitng management team is composed of several managers from Platinum Clubs across the U.S. that constantly innovate and challenge each other to raise the bar.

Buffalo, NY is a city with four wonderful seasons, and known as the "City of Friendly Neighbors." Located 15 minutes from Niagara Falls and the Canadian border. The Park Country Club remains and active Club throughout the fall and winter months.

Brief Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ala Operations:
    • Lead pre-shift meetings to ensure that all necessary information is communicated to team in an effort to have smooth service.
    • Say hello and check in with each table throughout service. Be visual to the membership and have on floor presence for the Front of House team.  
    • Assist servers and bussers with steps of service when needed.
    • Work with host to create flow of seating members when possible.
    • Assist in hiring process. Lead interviews, bring on new staff, process new hire paperwork.
  • Private Party Operations:
    • Lead pre-shift meetings to ensure that all necessary information is communicated to team in an effort to have smooth service.
    • Oversee execution of private events when needed. Work with host to ensure all details are correct with their event and work with FOH and BOH team for timing of service.  
    • Post event, work with team to set room correctly for the next event.
    • Assist in the execution of Monday Golf Outings. Make sure course is set up properly according to BEO and assist in host needs throughout the day.
  • Beverage:
    • Knowledge of all beverages in order to make recommendations to members and their guests table side.
    • Assist in the ordering of all beverages for all F&B outlets. Focus on running efficient inventories that align with COGs and sales numbers.
    • Maintain up to date wine and cocktail lists. Focus on running efficient inventories that align with COGs and sales numbers.
    • Sit in on tastings in an effort to change up menu options as well as plan for member functions such as wine dinners.
  • General:
    • Work with other departments as needed for events, marketing materials, membership communications, menu changes, etc.
    • Modify, enhance, and create best practices for training new hires at PCC. Also create techniques and processes to make training a daily part of pre-meals. Trainings can highlight SOPs, food, beverage, service standards, etc.
    • Involvement in NYS CMAA chapter meetings, golf outings, social events, etc.
    • Tour three other clubs within the Buffalo/Rochester area throughout time at PCC
    • Maintain a professional manner while at work and while outside of work, as our employees are a reflection on our club.

Candidate Qualifications

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-3 Years of Private Club experience in Food and Beverage
  • Ability to stand for long period of hours.
  • Ability to carry 30-50lbs.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
  • Previous knowledge of JONAS or another Point of Sale System

Educational Requirements

Hospitality/Tourism or Sport Management Degree preferred but not required.
