Financial Controller
Brief Job Description
The City Club at River Ranch is seeking a Financial Conroller to oversee the finances, accounting, and administrative functions of the club. The Financial Controller assists the General Manager on all strategic matters relating to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting and internal control. The Financial Controller prepares monthly financial statements and reports a summary to the General Manager. Collects and manitains supporting schedules and data necessary for recording and reporting. The Financial Controller maintains all accounting records and evaluates operating results for costs, revenues, budgets, trends, and increased profit potentials and reports them to the General Manager. Works with Human Resources in administering the club's group insurance, unemployment, and retirement plan. Works with payroll personnel assuring all required forms for new staff are completed per requirement. Oversees the administration of all inventory and inventory collection procedures. The position has up to four (4) reports.
Candidate Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years accounting experience with at least two of those years at a controller level or equivalent, in club operations is preferred. Experience in supervising a staff / team of professional accountants and bookeepers. Overseeing an information technology operation is preferable. Profecient in GAAP accounting procedures. Expert in MicroSoft Office, Spreadsheets, Financial Reports, and accounting software. Jonas Software expereince is strongly preferred. Excellant oral, written and communication skills. Proven leadership, time management and team building skills.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from four-year accredited college or university. CPA or MBA preferred.
