Brief Job Description

Stadium Club and Last Word General Manager

This position is responsible for The Stadium Club dining services and Last Word bar and cigar lounge. The Stadium Club and Last Word general manager ensures a high standard of appearance, hospitality of personnel, timeliness of service, and cleanliness of dining room areas. Additionally, the general manager supervises and trains service staff, manages within budgetary constraints, and develops and implements programs and promotions to increase revenue. The general manager directly supervises the managers and staff to ensure that all service guarantees are met to consistently exceed the expectations of members and guests

Candidate Qualifications

Essential Functions:

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of The Stadium Club and The Last Word
  • Plan, execute and supervise service during hours of operation
  • Administrative duties including payroll, scheduling, daily/weekly/monthly reporting
  • Build member relationships and handle issues or complaints with decorum
  • Manage and schedule to reservations and forecast business, assigning sections accordingly
  • Ensure accurate checks and billing
  • Develop and implement ongoing marketing program to increase dining room business
  • Responsible for training and developing all team members by developing, refining and distributing manuals and material, and implementing testing of new and existing team members
  • Ensure local and state laws and the Club’s policies and procedures for alcohol service are consistently followed
  • Conduct meetings and instructional lineups for all shifts and functions
  • Review cleaning and maintenance issues and requisitions
  • Manage and maintain appropriate inventory, following club controls and policies

 

Educational Requirements

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Four-year college degree in hospitality is preferred
  • Five years of restaurant management experience (full-service dining or private club preferred)

Licenses and Certificates

  • Food safety managers certification preferred
  • Alcoholic beverage certification (Tips) preferred
  • WSET, CMS or MW certification Level 1 preferred
