The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for working in all food and beverage outlets including our family grille and Bistro, upscale dining, and a busy banquet department.

  • Displays knowledge and understanding of food and beverage management in clubhouse operations.  Has an in depth knowledge of wine, beer and spirits.
  • Displays a working knowledge of finance, HR policies and regulations, food and beverage and club industry.
  • Highly energized and driven individual who is a friendly passionate leader, that is skilled in hiring supervising, training and developing high achieving teammates.   Coaching and training teams is essential. Strong people skills, someone who acts with urgency while maintaining a calm leadership demeanor.
  • Has the ability to define and achieve goals for self and for teammates.  Proven and verifiable leadership qualities with the demonstrated ability to lead and direct. 
  • Is organized, predictable, consistent and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize competing and conflicting projects. Strong organizational and time management skills to consistently achieve high levels of quality that result in outstanding member experiences. Attention to detail in the planning and execution of events, banquets, and restaurants.
  • Has strong communication and facilitation skills, both written and verbal with the appropriate personal presence, and a desire and ability to interact effectively before diverse constituencies of members, board members, committees, vendors, teammates and peers and all the people who are part of the success of the Carolina Country Club.
  • Has a friendly and outgoing personality with a positive attitude.  Is personable with members while maintaining a respectful level of professionalism.
  • Exceptional technical skills for planning, scheduling, tracking time and attendance for payroll.  Proficient in Microsoft Office and calendar software.  Familiar with social media as a business tool is desired.

Candidate Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)
  • Has at least 2 years of management experience in a similar high-end club environment. (Preferred)
  • Has a fundamental understanding of what constitutes a platinum level club experience, and the proven ability to execute at this level.
  • Will live and adapt to the Carolina Country Club Core Values and Absolutes of providing an exceptional quality service, and a memorable experience to the club members and teammates.
  • Driver's License

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)
  • Has at least 2 years of management experience in a similar high-end club environment. (Preferred)
