Clubhouse Manager

Brief Job Description

Responsible for the Food & Beverage Operations of the club.  Directly supervises Service Managers, Service Staff, Locker Room Staff, and Seasonal Pool Staff.  Works closely with Events Coordinator, Executive Chef and General Manager to ensure the needs of members and guests are consistently exceeded.

Job Tasks/Duties

  • Food and Beverage cost controls and operating procedures are consistently updated and adhered to.
  • Accountable for Wine, Spirits and Beer Operations including ordering, inventory, pricing and training.
  • Knowledgeable of Jonas Club Software including POS and Inventory
  • Strong overall computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Polished, professional appearance and presentation
  • Build a team through hiring, training and retaining employees
  • Audits and approves bi-weekly payroll
  • Serves as the Manager on Duty as scheduled
  • Must be a clear and effective communicator
  • Establishes and maintains SOP documents for FOH staff
  • Monitor and enforces employee dress codes to club policies and standards
  • Serves as a committee liaison on any assigned member committee(s)
  • Attends weekly Leadership Team meetings
  • Takes ownership of any member\guest complaints received and reports them to GM
  • Assists Event Coordinator and other staff in planning and executing club events
  • Maintains the POS system, in conjunction with Chef and managers
  • Prepares yearly budget for FOH, with help from GM and Controller
  • Works with Accounting Staff to prepare reports for on-going control of the department
  • Oversees the maintenance of FOH equipment, linen, tables, chairs, etc.
  • Creates and maintains job descriptions for all FOH employees
  • Prepares and distributes daily recap to all managers
  • Greets members and guests by name on a daily basis
  • Generate monthly F&B reports, tracking actual results to budget and explain variances
  • Train staff to ensure member billing is timely and accurate
  • Must be a visible presence to the membership during peak meal periods

This is a wonderful opportunity for a Food and Beverage Leader that wants to continue their path to becoming a GM.  You will have the freedom to explore, make mistakes and learn while having fun.

Candidate Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in the hospitality industry showing increasing responsibility
  • Candidates with Private Club experience are preferred, but not required
  • Strong computer skills including Jonas and Microsoft Office
  • Polished, professional appearance and presentation
  • Must be a confident, clear and effective communicator

Educational Requirements

  • College Graduate, Hospitality Degree preferred (but not required)
