The Shore Club opened in 1916, originally as The Wildwood Country Club. Designed by Wayne Stiles on a pristine property overlooking Jenkins Sound Bay, the course is known for its natural woodlands, marsh, water views, tight fairways, and challenging greens. 

Purchased by a small group of members who restored and rebranded as The Shore Club in 2017,  it is the premiere private golf club in one of the most popular summer resort areas in the country. The club’s history includes being Arnold Palmer’s primary club when he was in the Coast Guard and was the site of many early national tournaments.

Club is open 7 days per week, 12 months per year.

FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER

The Food & Beverage Manager serves to manage all dining rooms, banquet spaces, and all member related dining services in the manner most pleasing to members and their guests. Being the “face” of operations with a hands-on approach. Understanding “on the floor” actively engaging with members and their guest to ensure a superb dining experience at every opportunity is critical to succeed in the position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establishes formal training program for the department  
  • Hires, disciplines, and discharges F&B service staff, advises Executive Chef in matters of hiring, firing, discipline
  • Sells and coordinates member and guest banquets
  • Resolves complaints  

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and adheres to a departmental budget; monitors and takes corrective action as necessary to help assure that budget goals are attained
  • Establishes formal departmental training program
  • Resolves complaints in a prompt, courteous way.
  • Plans and implements a creative food service with variety and innovation.
  • Establishes a wine service that complements food service
  • Ensures quality control in the set-up of all dining rooms
  • Attends wedding shows and special events

Educational Requirements

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3 years private club F&B managerial experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality or equivalent experience in private club
  • Proficient with English grammar, writing and communication skills
  • Must be technological proficient with strong office, internet, and social media skills
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • This position requires a flexible work schedule and availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
