Eric Dietz, CCM, CCE, PGA
Eric Dietz, CCM (Certified Club Manager), CCE (Certified Chief Executive), PGA, Chief Operating Officer of Mountain Lake in Lake Wales, FL, was re-elected to the Club Management Association of America (CMAA) Board of Directors at its 2020 World Conference and Club Business Expo, held in Grapevine, for a three-year term. He was first elected to the Board of Directors in 2017.
Dietz previously served as the General Manager and COO of Interlachen Country Club from 2014 to 2017, as the General Manager and CEO of Lakewood Country Club in Rockville, MD from 2009 to 2013. He also served as the General Manager/COO of Rochester Golf and Country Club in Rochester, MN, and the Ridgemark Golf and Country Club in Hollister, CA. Dietz is a Class "A" Member of the Professional Golfers Association of America and began his career in 1981 as an Assistant Golf Professional at the Poolesville Golf Course, Poolesville, MD.
Dietz joined CMAA in 2004. He has served on many national committees including the Advocacy, CMI, Certification, Corporate Relations, Nominating, and Professional Development Committees. In 2022, he will serve as the chairman of the Communications Committee.
On the chapter level, Dietz has been active in multiple CMAA Chapters including the Upper Midwest Chapter and National Capital. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Florida Chapter.
Outside of CMAA, Dietz has been active with the USGA Green Section Committee, the National Club Association, the First Tee of Montgomery County and the Minnesota Golf Association. He is a past recipient of the prestigious “Excellence in Club Management Award,” a three-time recipient of the PGA of America’s Bill Strausbaugh Club Relations Award and the PGA of America’s Merchandiser of the Year award.
As a CMAA Board member, Dietz will work with members, allied associations, and partners to further the profession of club management.
