Brief Job Description

The Club at Mediterra, a multiple award winning private club located in Naples, FL, has an opening for a Food & Beverage Manager to join our dynamic team.

The successful candidate must be able to quickly understand our philosophy and can support our values and strategic objectives. The candidate needs to be a proactive member of the Leadership team with the ability to identify areas of opportunities and propose solutions with minimum guidance. The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for leading the Club’s dining services as well as Food and Beverage activities throughout the Club. The position requires a highly motivated individual with exceptional communication skills, superior internal and external customer service relationships and the ability to work in a high-performance team setting.

Food & Beverage Operations

  • Leads by example with professional presence, communication, coordination, preparation, and enthusiasm
  • Greets members and guests and oversees service on a consistent basis
  • Strong friendly floor presence with positive member interaction
  • Addresses member and guest concerns and advises the Leadership team of corrective action taken
  • Displays proper conduct and decorum with all employees utilizing a “lead by example” model
  • Instills a culture focused on teamwork and excellence that works in conjunction with all other departments of the Club

Leadership Contributions

  • Planning, implementing and maintaining of processes that will enhance the services, procedures, team dynamic and overall member satisfaction
  • Daily commitments to create a continuous teaching environment that focuses on staff timeliness, productivity, proper service and other standards at the Club
  • Partners with the Leadership Team on developing, implementing, enforcement, and evaluation of the service training program on a daily and weekly basis
  • Assists in recruitment, training, coaching and accountability of the service team
  • Develops appropriate staffing and scheduling programs
  • Understands and monitors labor costs and revenues; recommending adjustments when necessary
  • Transparent communication to senior management

Candidate Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years’ management experience in the Hospitality industry at a highly respected private club or “four-star” hotel/resort, with a strong track record of career progression and increased management scope
  • Must be able to handle a fast-paced, high-end, sophisticated environment
  • Seeks continuous improvement within the team by thinking strategically about service efficiency and consistency
  • Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Appropriate personal presence with a desire and ability to interact effectively with members, guests and staff
  • Able to adapt to handle surroundings and manage staff accordingly
  • Willingness, flexibility, and availability to work extended hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Possess well-rounded problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset

    OSHA Requirements: Ability to lift, push upwards of 35 pounds regularly; ability to stand for extended periods of time; ability to tolerate all seasonal weather conditions with indoor and outdoor activity

Educational Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Hospitality Management preferred
  • Active Membership of CMAA preferred
