Brief Job Description
Lost Lake Woods Club is seeking Hospitality Interns for the upcoming 2019 season. The Club is a private hunting and fishing club with extensive outdoor amenities in a rustic northern michigan setting.
The internship(s) will focus primarily on the food and beverage operations with rotations in housekeeping, lodging, horse stables and golf operations. The Club is incorporated as a 501(C)7 organization and exposure/learning will be provided into the financial operations of a diverse non-profit organization.
A 500 home sub-division is also included on property and experience may also be gained in the management and maintenance of a private gated residential community.
The Club includes a 18-hole Golf Course with PGA Professional, over 10,000 acres of private woodland with 5 stocked lakes. A 52 room lodge and full service campground.
Candidate Qualifications
Candidates for the internship position(s) may be currently enrolled in a hospitality, business or related program. Recent graduates are also encouraged to apply. Candidates must be able to work for the entire duration of the internship planned to run from mid May to Labor Day weekend. Scheduling may include days, nights, weekends and/or holidays as Lost Lake Woods Club is operational 7 days a week. Candidates should be able to withstand prolonged time on their feet, have no restrictions for lifting up to 50lbs, be able to work independently, and have some experience in food and beverage or the Club industry. Candidates must also possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Educational Requirements
Candidates can either be currently enrolled or recently graduated from a hospitality, business or related degree program,

Other Benefits
Pay rate for the position is $11.00 per hour overtime eligible. Limited on-site housing is available for out-of-area interns at a rate of $150.00 per month. Uniform shirts are provided free of charge; interns will be asked to bring with them black pants, shoes and socks for food and beverage operations and black or khaki shorts and sneakers for beach/golf operations. Discounts offered to all staff on food and Gift/Pro Shop purchases. Golf privileges are available at restricted times.
