Our dining room and bar-grill room are open every day during our season, mid-May through Columbus Day. We serve breakfast and lunch daily there and wherever our members would like to enjoy it - whether that’s in our comfortably luxurious locker room, one of our well-appointed cottages, or relaxing on the patio overlooking the course. Dinner is served Thursday through Saturday evenings in May, June, September and October, and every night during our busiest months of July and August. In addition to normal dining, there are tournaments, golf outings, weddings, and other special events that keep our F&B operations humming. NGC does not host any non-member events but focuses fully on our own members and their guests.

NGC was founded with a vision of creating a world premier immersion experience rooted in the tenants of the game of golf. Built on land shaped by the sea, the award winning Rees Jones designed course uses the natural contours of Nantucket Island to create a classic route that captures the spirit of the game and of the country’s great golf clubs. It is with this spirit of excellence, and appreciation of the unique and historic Nantucket Island environment, that we look to provide a relaxed but refined experience for our members and their guests.

Brief Job Description

Nantucket Golf Club needs staff for our summer season running May through October 14th. Positions include:

Housekeepers - cleaning for our clubhouse and four guest cottages (16 rooms)
Valet - working the gatehouse, greeting members and guests, bell-hopping, parking cars
Outside Golf Services Attendants - caring for members and their guests clubs, range and practice areas
Servers - taking care of members in guest ensuring a great dining experience at our restaurant, patio, and locker rooms
Busser/Food Runner - clearing and serving; helping provide a great dining experience
Line Cooks - helping our Executive Chef produce menu items focused on local and regional classic and progressive scratch cooking practices
Kitchen Assistants and Dishwashers - provide the support team in the back-of-house that makes the fine dining experience possible

Candidate Qualifications

Applicants must friendly and enjoy working on a team. They must have an attention to detail and passion for service.

Prior experience is required.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Not only do our staff enjoy the fulfillment of working with a great team in a beautiful location, but those who enjoy golf have the opportunity to play and practice on our world-class course. We offer subsidized housing (in our dorm and off-site residential rental houses), an employee meal program, uniforms, and discounts in our golf-shop. Our entry level starting wage is $16/hour but compensation is commensurate with experience.
