Brief Job Description

Charlotte Country Club's internship program provides hands-on experience throughout every department of our Club in order for our interns to experience all aspects of the Club. The program is customized to meet the individual needs and interests of our interns in order to best prepare them for the career path as General Managers in the club industry.

Students will have the opportunity to be involved in several weekly meetings: daily management, banquet/F&B, intern-focused development and education, and one-on-one meetings focused on budget development, scheduling, and hiring.

In order to receive a well-rounded experience, Charlotte Country Club makes an effort to expose our interns to as many different types of Club events as possible. Interns will not only be involved with formal and casual dining, but will also work with weddings, business functions, cocktail receptions, committee meetings, Sunday Night Cookouts, swim team events, birthday parties, wine tastings and dinners, golf tournaments, tennis tournaments, and the pool and golf snack bars.

Interns will also complete a “rotation” with all of our Club’s Department Heads from Food & Beverage, Event Planners, Culinary, Agronomy, Communications, Accounting, Human Resources, Golf Shop, Tennis Shop, Pool Complex, Snack Bar, and Purchasing & Inventory.

Interns will attend local Carolinas CMAA Chapter meetings, tour area clubs, and network with industry professionals while learning from an engaged group of leadership, focused on their growth. This internship will allow them the opportunity to meet one-on-one with professionals, participate in meetings, and accomplish their goals while experiencing all aspects of club management.

Additionally, private housing is available, golf/tennis privileges, and meals.
