Gozzer Ranch Golf and Lake Club is located outside of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. With being located right on Lake Coeur d'Alene, our club provides plenty of opportunities for the active and social membership involved. Located in an ideal summer setting, our Club provides a great amount of activities to ensure that the member experience is top of its class.

Brief Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The AM Manager is directly responsible in overseeing operation aspects of a high volume food and beverage service, focusing on leading and teaching high-level member service as well as cost controls while helping develop employee motivation and direction in a fast paced and upbeat environment.

 

JOB DUTIES AND TASKS:

In order to provide the highest level of service to the members at Gozzer Ranch, the Assistant Dining Room Manager will perform in the following areas:

 

  1. Service
    1. Supervises front of house staff during breakfast service. Oversees Dining Room floor coverage during breakfast and lunch meal services.
    2. Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings; communicate pertinent information to the staff, such as department focus, menu changes and daily reservations.
    3. Ensure staff follow the proper etiquette when addressing a table/members
    4. Keeps up with the menu and ingredient knowledge and able to make confident reccomendations of the food and drink offerings
    5. Provides accountability in ensuring staff takes accurate orders
    6. Closely monitor members/guests dining experiences.
    7. Complete daily log book with comments and follow up on member concerns.
    8. Seek, receive and resolve comments or complaints concerning food, beverages, and service; communicate all complaints with Dining Room Manager, COD, and Executive Chef when necessary.
    9. Assures that service personnel are in dining room to greet and seat and initiate service of members/guests.
    10. Make sure that staff are prepared and staged in their designated stations during service.
    11. Assist Dining Room Manager and Beverage Manager in providing consistent beverage ingredients and preparation throughout the Clubhouse and its outlets. Focus consists of coffee, juice, smoothie, and cocktail recipes.
    12. Oversee service focus floor plans for daily reservations, banquets and club events, and implement a distribution of staff duties.

 

  1. Leadership
    1. Lead and coach the restaurant team towards achieving exceptional member and guest service as well as employee satisfaction results.
    2. Shows leadership in creating a culture that revolves around the experience and enjoyment of food
    3. Effectively coach and mentor employees; proactively support employee involvement and development; Counsel employees on performance standards; Provide feedback to Clubhouse Manager for performance reviews.
    4. Inspecting service staff to ensure they are following the company uniform policy; ensure employees are in clean and proper uniforms at all times
    5. Assist with responsibility for all nonfood F&B storage area organization and cleanliness

 

  1. Administration
    1. Maintain rapport with all departments and attend relevant meetings.
    2. Oversee breakfast and lunch daily reports and cover counts
    3. Sunmit breakfast and lunch daily report emails and ensure we summarize concerns that will be distributed to director team. Coach concerns to staff on a daily basis.
    4. Ensure par stock levels are maintained by calculating inventory, ordering and retrieving supplies and stocking shelves such as ordering/receiving of beverage products. Develop and implement cost saving and profit enhancing measures.
    5. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, with continual emphasis on promoting employee health and safety. Assists in training colleagues in proper Safety techniques.
    6. Responsible for cleanliness of back of house Clubhouse areas, including beverage hallway, dry storage, produce cooler, and back loading area.
