Gozzer Ranch Golf and Lake Club is located outside of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. With being located right on Lake Coeur d'Alene, our club provides plenty of opportunities for the active and social membership involved. Located in an ideal summer setting, our Club provides a great amount of activities to ensure that the member experience is top of its class.

Brief Job Description

The Banquet & Catering Manager is responsible for leading, organizing, and delegating, the details of catered-outs, Take and Bake and banquets as well as club and member-sponsored events.  This position assists in overseeing the entire banquet department, which includes, staffing, training, scheduling, and ensuring a quality service.

Candidate Qualifications

Key Area #1: Catering Functions and Banquets

  • Oversee the Front of House Catering and Banquet staff to ensure all functions meet the standards of Gozzer Ranch, as well as develop strong partnership with the Back of House.
  • Presents clears BEO and pull lists for functions. Maintain timelines and priorities on every project.
  • Train, develop, direct, schedule and manage banquet staff.
  • Manage correspondence with Members about their events and offer suggestions to ensure their requests can be met.
  • Understands the function of and be able to work in all Food and Beverage Outlets. 
  • Manage banquet server team in successful execution of catering events.
  • Deliver events on time, within budget, that meet/exceed expectations.
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a positive working environment.
  • Work with suppliers, contractors, employees, vendors, managers, and many other parties to coordinate the event timelines.

 

Key Area #2: Service Standards

  • Ensure that each member and guest receives outstanding guest service in a guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every member and guest, maintaining outstanding service standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service.
  • Implementing systems and protocols for efficient service that exceeds the expectations of the members and guests whenever they are in or at the Club.
  • Continually coach and correct all staff when not meeting service standards.
  • Empowered to guarantee total guest satisfaction, display hospitality and professionalism to our members at all times, take pride in representing Gozzer Ranch professionally with our members and assure that all transactions with guests are handled in a legal and ethical manner.

 

Key Area #3: Daily Operations

  • Work closely with the Events and Experience team on member and club-sponsored events on details and staff scheduling.
  • Understand all Billing Procedures and be comfortable and competent in all billing. Bill all catered and banquet functions as needed.
  • Acts as the point of contact for experiences as needed.  Assists with complaints, errors, questions, billing, and other queries.
  • Ability to solve complex problems with professionalism and respect with employees, managers, members, and guests.
  • Understand and apply all property safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees, members, and guests at all times. In the event of an accident or emergency, seek medical attention if necessary and contact the Gozzer Security Team immediately.
