Brief Job Description
The objective of the internship program is to create an opportunity that will provide participants an overview of the private club industry. Students will obtain a better understanding of club operations working under the supervision of the management team. Being that Lost Lake Woods Club is a large operation offering a vast number of amenities, the areas of training are geared toward students seeking a career in hospitality or Club Management. The Internship will help each student gain pertinent on the job experience while developing needed skills within the Club hospitality field. Two types of Internships are offered:
Positional: This is an internship where a student is assigned to a club job or staff position for the duration of their employment. The training for this position is focused, as the employee will serve in the same capacity for an extended period of time.
Rotational: This is an internship where a student rotates through the various departments within the club staying in each department for a short period of time. The student may spend the entire internship rotating among departments or in a modified rotation internship they might rotate through the various departments and then settle into an assigned area for the remainder of the experience.

Throughout the program, the interns will be periodically tasked with supervisory and managerial responsibilities during rotations. The responsibilities will be based on prior experience and the level of each individual’s progression. The program will also require the intern to complete a project assigned to them by the management team.
Candidate Qualifications
Candidates need to be currently or recently enrolled in a hospitality or club management educational program.
Applicants should be open-minded and hardworking with a progressive and positive attitude. Candidates must be willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, and work to be a part of a team environment. Preferred availability will run from mid-May through Labor Day.
