Sara Bal New HeadshotSarah Bal joined CMAA in 2009 working with Premier Club Services and the International Wine Society. Currently, she holds the role of Director of Virtual Education and Research. In this role she oversees CMAA’s online learning and research strategy, is a member of the Education Department and provides educational support to the Young Professional group. Sarah is qualified in Lumina Learning Spark, Leader and Leader 360 psychometrics assessments. With this knowledge she guides managers through the tool at BMI programs and clubs throughout the country. She is also a member of the Golf 20/20 Millennial Task Force. 

Prior to joining CMAA, Sarah attended the University of South Carolina, Columbia where she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management with a Club Management specialization. As a student, Sarah was a member of CMAA and served as her chapter’s President.

Sarah is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and the Northern Virginia chapter of Ladies America. Originally from Baltimore, MD, Sarah resides in Arlington, VA with her husband and daughter.
