Alexandria, VA – The Club Foundation is pleased to announce the 2015 recipients of its James B. Singerling Scholarship.
The inaugural class of recipients includes:
•    James T. Carnahan, Old York Road Country Club, Spring House, PA
•    Melissa Roy, Oahu Country Club, Honolulu, HI
•    Scott Shardelow, CCM, Lochland Country Club, Hastings, NE
•    Todd Zorn, CCM, Salem Golf Club, North Salem, NY
The Club Foundation established The James B. Singerling Scholarship in honor of CMAA’s long-time CEO, Jim Singerling, upon his retirement in 2014 after 25 years of leadership. The purpose of this “pay it forward” scholarship is to reward those CMAA members who make a difference in their community, club and/or chapter by making it possible for them to attend the CMAA World Conference on Club Management and Club Business Expo when they would not otherwise be able to attend.
“We are very excited to provide this financial assistance to the first four recipients of this scholarship in the name of our long-time leader,” said Seth Gregg, Chief Operating Officer of The Club Foundation. “The funding of this scholarship will enable recipients to benefit from the expansive professional development and networking opportunities available at the World Conference. We are pleased to foster the growth of club management professionals striving to make a positive impact on the industry and in their communities.”
