James Reisig, CCM, CCE
James Reisig, CCM (Certified Club Manager), CCE (Certified Chief Executive), the General Manager of The University Club in New York, NY, was elected to the Club Management Association of America (CMAA) Board of Directors at its 2025 World Conference and Club Business Expo, held in Tampa, FL, in February. He was elected for a one-year term.
Reisig joined The University Club in the fall of 2025. Prior to that appointment, he served as the Chief Operating Officer of The Tokeneke Club, from 2018 to 2025; the Director of Dining at The Union Club of the City of New York, in New York, NY, from 2012 to 2019; the Director of Operations/GM at The Patina Restaurant Group, in New York, NY, from 2009 to 2012; and the Food & Beverage Director at The Williams Club of New York.
Reisig is an alumnus of Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI, where he earned an AS in Restaurant Management and a BS in Food & Beverage Management. He has served as a Visiting Professor and honored as a Distinguished Alumni Representative for Club Management.
He first joined CMAA in 2013. He has been committed to professional development, earning his CCM designation in 2017, earning admittance to CMAA’s Honor Society in 2023, and earning his CCE designation in 2023.
Reisig has served on many national committees including the Advocacy, Chapter Relations, Membership, and Strategic Planning Committees. In 2025, he will co-chair the Communications Committee.
Within his local community, Reisig has been an active member of the City of New York Chapter, currently serving as Chapter Secretary/Treasurer.
As a CMAA Board member, Reisig will collaborate with the membership, National Committees and Task Forces, Partners, and the National Headquarters team to advance the profession and foster a thriving club industry by supporting CMAA-educated professionals.
