Judy Higgins, CCM, CCE

Judy Higgins, CCM (Certified Club Manager), CCE (Certified Chief Executive), General Manager of the Valley Lo Club in Glenview, IL was elected to the Club Management Association of America (CMAA) Board of Directors at its 2024 World Conference and Club Business Expo, held in Las Vegas, NV. She was elected to serve on the Board of Directors for a one-year term.

Higgins has served as the General Manager of Valley Lo Club since 2018. Prior to that appointment, she served as the Club’s Assistant General Manager from 2007 to 2018; the General Manager of Turnberry Country Club in Lakewood, IL from 2005 to 2006; the Clubhouse Manager of Wynstone Golf Club in N. Barrington, IL, from 2000 to 2005, after seven years as its Catering Director and where she began her club industry career in 1989; and the Food and Beverage Manager at Park Ridge Country Club in Park Ridge, IL, from 1991 to 1992. Higgins is an alumnus of Michigan State University where she earned her BA in Hotel, Restaurant, & Institutional Management.   

Higgins first joined CMAA in 2000. She has been committed to professional development, earning her CCM designation in 2004, being inducted into the Honor Society in 2015, and achieved her CCE designation in 2022. She has served on many national committees including the Membership, Professional Development, and Strategic Development Committees. Most recently, she served on the Centennial Task Force. In 2024, she will co-chair the Communications Committee.

On the chapter level, Higgins has been an active member of the Greater Chicago Chapter, serving as Chapter President in 2017 and in several other leadership roles.  

As a CMAA Board member, Higgins will work together with the membership, National Committees and Task Forces, Partners, and the National Headquarters team to advance the profession and the broader industry collaboratively.
