Chapter Idea Fair

Corporate Sponsorship Program

Connecticut Chapter

Entry Details

Now in our 3rd year of the Connecticut Chapter Corporate Sponsorship program we are continually honored by the value these partners bring to our chapter. Many have a long-standing history with Connecticut Clubs and are simply honored to support the chapter. Others have come through recommendations from other sponsors or other chapters. Initially, our program was designed with a heavy relationship -building emphasis on education. As time progressed, we have found all involved were more comfortable meeting in an actively driven setting. Our board thoughtfully considered these initiatives and revised the program.  Due to these changes in 2022 we added five new sponsors to our existing base of twelve sponsors. To enhance the Chapter Member experience, the board has elected to closely monitor the sponsors represented in each industry, careful to not compromise either the sponsor or the member relationship. Our chapter members can feel confident that when approaching a sponsor, they are choosing from carefully selected field of contributors.

Implementation

The Vendor Appreciation Golf Outing has become the premier event for sponsor engagement. Included in every sponsorship level, we offer golf, and a display table. Higher level relationships offer additional golfers, tee signs, and reception tickets. Foursomes are mindfully paired to include sponsors with club decision-makers.

This year we added the Conference Reception at Conference. Meticulously planned, our Social Chair, President and Managing Director sent advance invitations to current sponsors, Expo Vendors Chapter Members, and friends from CMAA and Neighboring Chapters. Knowing we wanted a casual outdoor venue, close to the host hotel, we chose Union Kitchen and Tap. Nametags identified organizational affiliations.  We were grateful to sign one new sponsor from this event. Most importantly, we gained new vendor/ friends, some of whom played in our Vendor Appreciation Golf Outing and whom we will again connect at next year’s conference. The Connecticut Chapter found the reception to be an important venue to learn about the wide range of business lines that will serve to round out our sponsor base.  As club management is typically busy during July and August, the chapter does not usually host educations. This year, we took advantage of the virtual platform to highlight the wealth of expertise that our sponsors offer by introducing Webinar Wednesdays. Each Sponsors was given an opportunity to participate and present on a relevant educational topic in a one-hour webinar. As the weeks progressed the attendance increased and the feedback from the membership was astounding. Emails came in asking who was speaking next, and will the recordings and slides be available? Both were posted on the website for all chapter members to use and share. This opportunity for our sponsors to connect with the chapter proved successful:

  1. Chapter members were able to put a face with the name of the organization and establish trust.
  2. Realize the broad knowledge base of the Sponsors.
