A Virginias Chapter Board Member, Dan Jordan took thoughtful initiative to bring together female leaders in our industry, all serving in various positions at their respective clubs to form a panel before students of Virginia Tech. It was a casual, comfortable setting at Salisbury Country Club where students had hands on access to these women in club management. Following their session, they enjoyed lunch together and made lasting connections and inspired our future club leaders.

Implementation

A Virginias Chapter Board Member, and Student Chapter liaison identified female leaders who would be willing to serve on a panel before female students of Virginia Tech. He invited the club management leaders and the students for lunch at his club. It created a comfortable inviting environment for learning and sharing among women in hospitality. It paved the way for additional casual learning opportunities for women in club management.
