Sunset on Sixteenth

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Sunset on 16th enhanced our downtown Washington D.C. city club by being able to offer outdoor, spacious events to our members and their guests on a regular occurrence. The diversity of the events that were offered kept our members engaged in creative experiences such as Kentucky Derby, Jazz Trio, Sunset in Santorini, regular Happy Hours and Yappy Hours with the furry friends.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The idea was implemented by the team adjusting to the external factors of city wide mandates and programming member events in a space that was never used as an event space before, the iconic horseshoe driveway on 16th street. The members were thrilled about the idea and attended the Sunset on 16th events with great enthusiasm and numbers. The Sunset on 16th series will continue even as we come out of COVID as they were so well received. Everyone that drove or walked by was able to see what The University Club of Washington D.C. was doing for its members!
