Submit Your Data to the Latest Coronavirus Operations Survey
As the nation moves into the next phase of reopening after being impacted by the novel coronavirus, CMAA has continued with our brief surveys to collect data on how clubs have responded and are operating under the new guidelines. This survey will be open through Sunday, June 28 and we request only one response per club. Take the Survey. Results will be disseminated the week of June 29. If you have any questions, please contact CMAA's Research Department.

Deadline Approaching: 2020 Finance and Operations Survey
Many clubs have requested additional time to complete their 2020 CMAA Finance and Operations Survey. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are trying to remain as flexible as possible regarding this deadline, so we have decided to extend the deadline to Tuesday, June 30. If you need additional time to respond, please let us know. To allow for easy survey completion as well as customized reporting tools for you and your staff, the study is hosted and maintained by Industry Insights on the CMAA Research Portal (cmaa-research.org).

It’s Summer: Time to Refresh Your Club’s Heat Illness Prevention Program
It is hot outside and your team is working extra hard providing sanitation and disinfection in your outside spaces – on the course and courts, at the pools and the marina, and in new, ad hoc dining and fitness spaces. Make sure these employees are trained and monitored as part of your club’s heat illness prevention program.

OSHA reminds employers to encourage workers (especially during their first few days in warm or hot environments) to:

Consume adequate fluids (water and sport drinks),

Work shorter shifts,

Take frequent breaks, and

Quickly identify any heat illness symptoms.

While we often consider our traditional outdoor employees in grounds and maintenance, do not forget to consider the needs of those working indoors in spaces that are warmer in summer months. These employees work in spaces with indoor heat-generating appliances including bakeries, kitchens, and laundries.

Access additional resources at OSHA’s Heat Illness Prevention campaign, including educational and training materials and the NIOSH Heat Safety Tool Smartphone App.

Maintaining a Service Culture During Your Reopening Phases
The Club Resource Center (CRC) can help clubs establish and maintain a service culture by providing a consistent, high quality training program for all employees. Our new category, Health and Wellbeing, will ensure your staff and members are staying compliant as your club reopens. If you’d like to learn more, contact the CRC team and we can set up a demo. Most demos take around 15-30 minutes and are online for your convenience.
